Senior Research Scientist, Materials Testing

Victor Krause is a Materials Testing Specialist for the Materials & Bioeconomy Research Group. He manages and coordinates testing activities for the Mechanical Testing Room and Membrane Press Technology Center while interacting with clients at NRRI or on location. Victor develops investigations in composite materials, secondary wood products, coatings and wood chemistry projects. He has 20 plus years of experience in research and technology development including membrane press thermoforming, mechanical testing of materials, laminate performance testing and application of coatings and adhesive.

Victor leads an NRRI team investigation into building deconstruction and material reuse. The team is searching to find alternatives for reusable building materials and estimate the environmental impact of diverting those materials from the landfill.
