The SUSTAIN project's major goal is the release of a piece of software, presently also called SUSTAIN, which can be used by land managers. Here's a documented conceptual map of the SUSTAIN model. Here's a screenshot of the SUSTAIN application, which has a familiar, tab based interface. It is expected that the software and data will consist of the user interface (above), an ArcView extension allowing the user to identify the area they manage and the stands etc. they intend to modify, several large Arc data coverages, and the SUSTAIN model itself. Users will need a copy of ArcView to use the system.
