"NEWCOMERS" TRAVEL AWARDS

One of the great things about this conference is the regular attendance by moose researchers and managers from across North America and even a few folks from the international realm. But…we would love to have some new participants come join us and we’d like to help you get here. To that end, the North American Moose Group will pay up to $1,000.00 CDN toward costs associated with attendance at the annual meeting for 2 new "moosers." "SENIOR'S" TRAVEL AWARD

($1200.00 CDN)

In recognition of retired moose biologists' potential to continue contributions to our knowledge and understanding of moose ecology, the North American Moose Group will pay up to $1,200.00 CDN of the costs associated with attending the North American Moose Conference and Workshop to a retiree who will present a paper, prepared in advance, for possible publication in the journal Alces. MN TWS TRAVEL AWARD

MN TWS Travel Award: A travel award has been established by the MN TWS for the 45th NAMCW that is separate from the standard NAMCW travel awards. The MN TWS is proud to offer $250 dollars in travel scholarships for members to attend the conference and workshop. First priority for the scholarships will be given to MN TWS student members, followed by other students attending MN colleges or universities, and finally to MN TWS professionals in general. The selection committee will consist of Dr. Bill Faber (wfaber@clcmn.edu) and Martha Minchak (shrooms@peoplepc.com). Please send Martha and Bill a letter of intent explaining why you would like to attend the conference by the award application deadline (April 15, 2010).
