Adult and Yearlings
· 25 different adult and yearling lynx have been radiocollared.
· 1 of these 25 lynx was incidentally caught in a snare by a fur trapper
· 11 of the captured animals were males, and 14 were females
· Almost all captured lynx have been caught in box traps
Kittens at dens
· 3 radiocollared females denned in 2004
· 4 radiocollared females had dens in 2005
· At least 1 radiocollared female may have had a litter fail in 2005
· 21 lynx kittens have been handled at a den (8 in 2004, 13 in 2005)
· 2 (possibly 3) additional kittens were observed but not handled in 2004
6 to 12 month old kittens
· At least 9 of the kittens born in May 2004 survived until September 2004
· At least 5 of the kittens born in May 2004 survived until May 2005
· These kittens could breed in the winter of 2006
