How could donations be used?
Radiotelemetry collars: Each VHF collar costs $200.
GPS collars: GPS collars cost more than VHF collars ($2,500) but give precise locations and activity data day and night all year.
Aerial telemetry: Each hour of flying costs over $200. We minimize flight time to reduce costs, but there are times when we need to fly to find a collared animal.
Doubled donations! In December 2004, a donor gave $1,000, but only if the $1,000 donation was matched by other contributions. We made it! Thanks to everyone who helped out!
