Canada Lynx in the Great Lakes Region

Pictures of Canada lynx in Rollins, MN
sorry, larger pictures aren't available

Another use for a camera phone!  These pictures are small in size, but clearly show a Canada lynx walking near and on the Hopper Rd south of Rollins.  This is the area where Lynx #10 and #13 live, usually referred to as Brimson on the lynx website.  Pictures were taken by Ryan Saunders and Matthew Radzak who work in the St. Louis County Land Department.  Believe it or not, this was the second lynx they had seen on August 16, 2004.  This one walked the edge of the road for about a half mile and was within 15 feet of the truck on several occasions before crossing a bridge next to the truck and slowly wandering into the woods.  The total time spent watching the animal was about 15 minutes.
