A 22 pound female, she was fitted with a GPS collar and released.  During the time she has been radiocollared she has had 2 litters of kittens.  At least one of the kittens born in 2004 is still alive and radiocollared (Lynx L17). L7 had 3 kittens with her in the fall of 2005 that were captured on a trail camera in September and in October. Her surviving kittens are L17 and L43 wearing radiocollars, two other kittens were alive in early March 2006

Study animals are anaesthetized in many of the images on this site. They regain consciousness and leave the capture site shortly after processing is finished.

The picture on the top right was taken in March 2004 when L7 was recaptured and her GPS collar was taken off to download locations.
