Canada Lynx in the Great Lakes Region

Lynx #15 was captured near Grand Marais, MN on March 30th, 2004. A 27+ pound male, he was fitted with a VHF collar and released.

He was last located in Minnesota at the end of May 2004, and then was not within VHF telemetry range. In mid-September 2004 we found him northwest of Thunder Bay, Ontario, and in less than 2 weeks, believe it or not, he was back in Grand Marais.  L15’s transmitter has not been heard since May 2005, it is likely that he is now in Ontario beyond the areas that we have been able to search for him.
