Canada Lynx in the Great Lakes Region

Lynx #11 was captured northeast of Isabella, MN on February 12, 2004. This 17 pound female was fitted with a ATS VHF radiotelemetry collar and released.  Her movements have been wide-ranging compared to heavier (and likely older) lynx that have been radiocollared.

Study animals are anaesthetized in many of the images on this site. They regain consciousness and leave the capture site shortly after processing is finished.
