Landsat MSS Mosaic Imagery

This Landsat satellite image of the Lake Superior Basin shows some of the variation in vegetation cover, land use and land forms across the Basin.

Red to pink colors indicate areas of deciduous forest dominance while darker greens indicate a high percentage of conifer cover. Light blue (cyan) shows developed land. Large water bodies are shown in dark blue.
