Registration for the joint meeting of the 8th International Conference on Mathematical Chemistry and 5th Indo-US Workshop on Mathematical Chemistry is now open.

Registration Fee
The early registration deadline for the workshop is May 16, 2008. The registration fee includes:

  • the Sunday evening reception
  • the poster session mixer
  • lunches on campus during the meeting (Monday through Friday)
  • all conference presentations and materials
  • refreshments during breaks
  • a group photo
  • a single copy of the book of abstracts (printed or on CD)

Currently, participants can pay by credit card by faxing or mailing a copy of the registration form. The organizers are currently exploring options for credit card registration via the internet. Conference registration fees are as follows:

Meal Ticket
Meals will be available on campus at the University Residence Hall Dining Center, Monday, June 23rd through Friday, June 27th. The meal tickets will cover breakfast from Monday morning through Friday morning and dinner meals on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday (lunch for all registered participants and guests is provided as part of the registration fee). All participants are welcome to purchase a meal ticket for breakfasts and dinners during the conference, regardless of whether they choose to stay in UMD Residence Housing or in a private hotel. For those of you not planning to attend the banquet, dinner on Thursday evening will be on your own. Information about local restaurants will be provided in the registration packet.

Please indicate on the registration form if you have any special dietary requirements or food allergies. We will do what we can to make accommodations.

Cost: $50 per registrant

Banquet Tickets
On Thursday evening, all workshop participants are invited to a participate in a banquet at the Midi Restaurant in the historic Fitger's Brewery Complex along the shore of Lake Superior. Conference participants need to register for the banquet. The cost of the banquet is not covered in the registration fee. Additional tickets for spouses and guests are also available.

The banquet will be a sit-down dinner (not buffet-style) with the following menu choices. Please be sure to indicate your meal preference when filling out your registration form:

  • Beef—Prime rib with creamy horseradish sauce (on the side)
  • Chicken—Rosemary and garlic chicken
  • Vegetarian—Pasta primavera
Cost: $50 per person

Book of Abstracts
Additional copies of the Book of Abstracts will be available on request. If you would like an additional copy, or if you would like both a printed copy and a CD copy, there will be an additional charge.

  • Single copy of the Book of Abstracts, printed or on CD - covered in registration fee
  • Additional copies of the Book of Abstracts, printed or on CD - $10 each

Payment can be made by credit card (American Express, Visa, MasterCard, or Discover-Novus), but we cannot accept debit cards. Additionally, at present we are only able to accept credit card information sent via fax or post. Please do not send registration forms including credit card information via email. Cancellation
To cancel your registration, please contact the conference organizers in writing (regular mail or e-mail) before June 13, 2008. No refunds will be issued after June 13, 2008. The University of Minnesota is an equal opportunity educator and employer.

Lodging
The conference organizers have made lodging arrangements for participants both on the University of Minnesota Duluth campus and at the Radisson Hotel Duluth Harborview. Lodging on the University campus is provided in standard dormitory rooms, and reservations for lodging on campus can be made via the registration form. A block of rooms with a special conference rate has been reserved at the Radisson Hotel, however, participants must make their own reservations and pay the hotel directly for their lodging. Reservations and payment for lodging at the Radisson Hotel cannot be handled as part of the registration process. More information on lodging arrangements can be found on the travel page.

Radisson Hotel Duluth Harborview—$74 + 13% tax per night
A block of rooms has been reserved for participants at the Radisson Hotel Duluth Harborview. Limited daily shuttle service will be available between the Radisson Hotel and the University campus. When making a reservation, be sure to indicate that you are with the 5th Indo-US Workshop on Mathematical Chemistry. We advise participants to make their reservations as soon as possible. Only a limited number of rooms are available at this rate and hotel rooms fill very quickly during the summer. This special rate is only available until May 23, 2008.

University Dormitory Housing—$40 per night
Lodging is also being arranged on a first-come first-served basis in University dormitories. If you would like to stay on the University campus, please indicate which nights you require lodging on the registration form. Please indicate on your registration form if you will be sharing a room with a guest or colleague.
