Travel
Located on the western tip of Lake Superior, the city of Duluth, Minnesota receives over 3.5 million visitors annually. Duluth's many attractions and recreational opportunities make the city a popular vacation destination throughout the year, particularly during the summer months. Conference attendees are advised to make travel and lodging arrangements early to avoid any reservation conflicts.

Conference participants may choose to fly directly into Duluth, or may fly into Minneapolis-St. Paul, located three hours from Duluth by car. Northwest Airlines and Continental Airlines are offering discounted rates for participants traveling to the Third Indo-US Workshop on Mathematical Chemistry.

Taxi Services
Several companies offer taxi service in the Duluth area. No taxis are based at the airport, so you will need to call from the airport to request pick-up if none are available. The airport is located approximately 10 minutes from downtown Duluth hotels, and taxi fare to the Holiday Inn Downtown is $12.75. Visa Arrangements
A valid passport is necessary to enter the United States of America. Due to international agreements, some countries also require a visa. All international participants should verify the specific requirements with foreign affairs authorities in their country or with U.S. embassies or consulates. Lodging Accomodations
Lodging is available at two locations, on the University of Minnesota Duluth campus, just a short walk from the meeting rooms, and in downtown Duluth at the Radisson hotel.

Lodging on the University of Minnesota Duluth campus
For participants who reside in the University of Minnesota Duluth Residence Hall facilities, rooms will be available for single or double occupancy. Each dormitory room is equipped with two beds, two desks, two closets, and a small refrigerator. Washroom facilities are located on each floor and the dormitory floors will be segregated by gender. If you wish to share a room with someone, it is your responsibility to make the arrangements. Dorm room reservations can be made as part of the conference registration.

Cost: $36.00 per night

Lodging at the Radisson Hotel
For participants who choose not to reside in the University of Minnesota Duluth Residence Housing, blocks of rooms are reserved for Saturday, August 2, 2003 through Thursday, August 7, 2003 at the Radisson Hotel Duluth Harborview. Hotel rates are subject to the 13% Duluth hotel tax. Workshop attendees interested in lodging accomodations at the Radisson should contact the hotel directly to secure their own reservations.
