filtering waterThe Central Analytical Laboratory (CAL), directed by Dr. Richard Axler, provides analytical laboratory and field research support services to NRRI scientists, other University scientists, local, state, and federal agencies, and to private businesses and commercial laboratories. The CAL maintains over 1600 sq. ft. of wet lab space, including over $300,000 in state-of-the-art instrumentation. The CAL was previously certified for a wide variety of physical, chemical, and biological measurements (including rigorous QA/QC standards) by the USFWS's Acid Precipitation Mitigation Program (APMP) and the Minnesota Department of Health. After 20 years, NRRI continues showcasing research and results for strengthening industry and decision-making for the environment.
